Why is it presumed that these loop on a 49 quest cycle? Quizzical 00:45, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know, that's just what it says on [Template:Zaishen forecast/Combat/data]. Looks like [{{fullurl:Template:Zaishen_forecast/Combat/data|diff=next&oldid=1514530}} Kirbman was the one who did it]. —Dr Ishmael

- I assumed that that was just intentionally leaving more slots than he thought necessary. If we assume it repeats after 28 (as everything else that appears more than once before repeating appears exactly four times before a repeat) and it takes longer, then that would show a wrong prediction on the first page when the 29th day rolls around, until someone sees it and fixes it. - I'd considered that, but I wondered why he would expand it past 35 when we were only at 9. It made me think he had some other reason that made 49 a better assumption than 35. Ah well, it doesn't really matter. —Dr Ishmael

- Figures, I just spotted this discussion now that its changed from that. The reason I had put it on a 49 item cycle was to purposely overestimate so that predictions in the next week later in the cycle didn't start incorrectly showing as quests from the beginning of the cycle. The excess days were just a buffer to avoid false predictions really. --

- It was a good idea. Nice work setting it up. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:13, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Fort Aspenwood reward incorrect
The Rewards table states that completing the Fort Aspenwood Zaishen Combat quest gives a reward that includes 3000 Balthazar faction. It does not. Haven't checked Jade Quarry yet. This factoid disrupts the 3-tier structure of the table. Colonel Jasmine 20:02, April 3, 2010 (UTC)
- No, it doesn't. The / symbol means "or", not "and". "6,000 B / 7,500 K/L" means "6,000 Balthazar OR 7,500 (Kurzick OR Luxon)". —Dr Ishmael

[edit] Cycle prediction incorrect?
Zaishen combat predictions seem incorrect, closest dated prediction is in 3 days, others in 23 days and more. Sethrea 08:06, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Fixed. —Dr Ishmael

- Is it still off? As of 10:50 Eastern (before daily changeover) today, ZC is GvG, but the table says that it will be GvG today (Sept 8). Targren 14:52, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- We currently match the official wiki, so if it's wrong, then we're both wrong. Check again after the scheduled changeover (noon EDT). —Dr Ishmael
